Raw Material

The most important aspect of tool making is selection of right material from right source. The main parameters which have to be ascertained in the raw material are –

  • Composition
  • Segregation
  • inclusion level
  • Grain size
  • Carbide distribution
  • Degree of spherodisation.

Following inspection are carried out for all different size of bars of same heat

  • PHYSICAL INSPECTION AND SURFACE DEFECTS
  • CHEMICAL COMPOSITION
  • MICRO STRUCTURE
  • MACRO STRUCTURE
  • HARDEN ABILITY
  • ULTRASONIC TESTING

Approx 90% of our raw material are bought directly from the manufacturers. we avoid raw material procurement from Stockists/ Traders to achieve maximum cost control and quality.
